Meet Patrick

Patrick Ambrossi (30) is a first generation Ecuadorian-American, who was raised and continues to live in the Heights section of Jersey City. Born to a union painter father and a mother who is a paralegal – Patrick learned the importance of giving back at an early age.

From a young age, Patrick has always looked to contribute and help his home in any way possible. He became involved with advocating for open space in Jersey City and became a member of multiple 501©3 organizations within his Ward and Citywide. He currently sits on the board of the Jersey City Parks Coalition and is the President of the Leonard Gordon Park Conservancy – which many know as Mosquito Park. His advocacy has led to the renovation of our beloved park, which sat unattended for close to 30 years. The final straw was in 2012, when the playground was set on fire and the city let it sit there for over a year. Now, this park will bring in residents with events, modern design, and its eyes set on the future.

Patrick has also sat on the board for the Jersey City Reservoir Alliance, organized major City-wide clean-ups, and has represented his community as a Democratic Committee Representative.

His passion for public service extends to his work life – where he received a master’s in public administration from Saint Peter's University and has close to 10 years of public sector experience. Now, Patrick is looking to represent Ward D as its next Councilman.

Patrick’s involvement with community organizations, government, and his passion for service make him the exact candidate our community needs. Whether you live in the Heights or Downtown, residents can be assured that he will be easily accessible and committed to the betterment of Ward D and Jersey City as a whole.

The current issues that pledge our community are many – from an affordability crisis and managing our city budget to ensuring our streets are cleaned and our parks are maintained – no issue is too small to discuss and to take on.
